SaulPaul performs at Kukuza Fest to Amplify Black Voices in Children’s Music

This past weekend, Award Winning musician SaulPaul performed songs from his new album Be The Change with a powerful community of all-star Black artists at Kukuza Fest powered by WEE Nation Radio and Family Music Forward Collective. Kukuza is a Swahili word for “amplify” and for the first time ever, this virtual two-day festival amplified Black voices in family music.

Before even starting the festival, Kukuza Fest received rave reviews!

This 2-day virtual festival had a spectacular lineup of Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated artists with live performances across a range of genres for the entire family. The event was organized in conjunction with the Family Music Forward Collective and received over 7.3 thousand worldwide views!

SaulPaul performed with artists from the best in family-music including 7-Time Grammy Award Winners – Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr., Rissi Palmer, Aaron Nigel Smith, Father Goose & Irie Goose, Shine and the Moonbeams, Alphabet Rocker’s Tommy Soulati Shepherd and Tommy T3PO Shepherd, Dan + Claudia Zanes, Reggie Harris, Renee Georges, Papa Siama & Auntie Dallas, Joseck Asikoye from Jabali Afrika and Uncle Jumbo.

Special guest appearances included Living Single Star Erika Alexander, Female Bass Legend Divinity Roxx, Stem Music CEO Roy Moye, III, Program Director of Harlem Stage – Monique Martin, Children’s Music Veteran Robbi Kumalo and the owner and creator of WEE Nation Radio, Uncle Devin. The event was emceed by Emmy Award winner’s Markette Shepherd and Pierce Freelon.
